Chair

David Vaughan

Having been brought up in Belgium, David joined Golders Green Synagogue in 2009.  He is married to Samantha and they have two children, Jemima and Nathaniel.  After being part of its founding team, he served as Chair of Governors of Rimon Jewish Primary School for 6 years.  In his professional career, he is a commercial litigation and arbitration partner at Irwin Mitchell, with a focus on resolving high-value and complex disputes for international clients.

 

Vice Chair

Julia Chain

After a long career in the law, and business, in 2021, Julia was appointed chair of the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority.  Julia recently stepped down after more than 8 years as Deputy Chair of Norwood and is currently Chair of Sadeh and also Chair of the Human Dignity Trust.  Julia was also a founder governor of Rimon Jewish Primary School. 

Financial Representative

Adam Berlin

Adam moved to Golders Green in 2008. His wife Andrea is originally from Pittsburgh in the US. They have three children Alyssa, Seth and Sienna. Adam joined the shul executive in 2017 and has been the financial representative since 2019. He works as a financial analyst for UBS.

Women's Officer

Caroline Levey

Caroline is a 3rd generation GGS member and 2nd generation honorary officer – her father, Asher Blau, was financial representative in the 1970s. Caroline is the manager of a successful educational psychology practice, loving mother and grandmother. 

Gabbai

Gabriel Vaisbrot

Gabriel came to the UK from Paris over 15 years ago. Gabriel is a software engineer and he lives in Golders Green with his wife Aura and their 4 children.
