Poland Trip 2025

In June 2025 members of GGS went on a life-affirming trip to Poland to explore 1,000 years of Jewish history as well as the atrocities perpetrated across the country during the Holocaust.

The trip was led by Holocaust educator Richard Verber and Rabbi Kurzer.  Together they led the group through Warsaw, Krakow, Auschwitz and more over 3 packed days, guiding participants through the rich history and heritage of Polish Jewry. Visits included the the POLIN Museum, Warsaw Ghetto, and Krakow’s historic Kazimierz district, as well as a full day in Auschwitz-Birkenau. Throughout the journey, meaningful discussions and reflections helped deepen the group’s understanding of both the tragedy of the Holocaust and the centuries-long legacy of Jewish culture and tradition in Poland.
