Golders Green Synagogue is a modern orthodox synagogue, member of the United Synagogue. The community has a long history, going back before the First World War. The first recorded communal services took place in a temporary synagogue for the High Holy Days in 1913.
The current synagogue building in Dunstan Road, which is now a Grade II listed building, opened in 1922 and currently serves about 500 member families.
Golders Green Synagogue is a warm and welcoming community: we offer a weekday minyan, a choice of services on Shabbat morning, a range of educational and social activities and a network of communal services.
The community is led by Rabbi Dr. Harvey Belovski, who has been the rabbi of the community since 2003. His illustrious predecessors include the Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks and Dayan Ivan Binstock.
